De Chinese geslachtskalender is erg populair. Het geeft als ware oude informatie in een moderne tijd weer. Via deze kalender kan worden nagegaan wat volgens de ‘Chinezen’ het geslacht is van de toekomstige baby. Het kan natuurlijk niet met zekerheid worden gezegd, maar je kunt de kans wel gebruiken.

De geschiedenis van de Chinese geslachtskalender

Ongeveer 700 jaar geleden ontdekte een wetenschapper uit China gegevens in een koninklijk graf vlakbij Peking. Gebaseerd op de gegevens die hij vond, tekende de wetenschapper de babygeslachtskalender welke het gelascht van de baby bepaalde op basis van de maand van conceptie en de leeftijd van de moeder op het moment van conceptie.

Tegenwoordig willen ouders al vaak weten welk geslacht de baby heeft. Niet alle ouders, een groot deel laat het liever een verrassing. Het is natuurlijk een voordeel wanneer je van te voren weet dat je hier beter op kunt inspelen door bepaalde artikelen te kopen. Veel ouders nemen daarom ook een echo, maar dit is niet altijd een garantie voor uitsluiting van het geslacht van de baby.

Om het te berekenen moet je even nagaan wat de leeftijd is en welke maand de conceptie plaatsvond, waarna je het eenvoudig kunt aflezen in onderstaand schema.

Wat kun je er mee?

Het is natuurlijk geen garantie dat je het goed gaat hebben. Volgens onderzoekers klopt het in 57% van de gevallen wel en 43% van de gevallen niet. Maar het is natuurlijk wel even leuk om naar te kijken en velen geloven er ook in. In Nederland zijn we ook een stuk meer nuchter dan in andere landen waar ze meer waarde hechten aan deze Chinese zwangerschap kalender.
